Victory Over Vice is a fundraiser right here in Ottawa’s Centretown community which recruits community members to give up an unhealthy vice for the month of January and raise pledges in support. We work hard to promote healthier lifestyles one participant at a time. But it starts with you! Everyone Has a Vice: What’s Yours? Participants often choose to give up a vice such as candy or fast food or commit to a daily exercise, they often also give up procrastination or addictive behaviours such as internet browsing, smoking or shopping.

Here is Victory Over Vice’s steps for success: Choose your vice, choose your vice to quit, build support, encourage others to go vice-free, raise pledges, join in at events all January. On Sunday, November 30th, as a pre-Mod Club party come out and join us for Victory Over Vice’s Kick Off Event with local comedy acts and live music.

The annual event Kosmic, put on by Carleton U Architecture Dept. remains one of the most creative, sensory-sensational events of the year. The location is a mystery but there is always a phenomenal celebration surrounding the launching of the theme. This year Babylon is pleased to host the official launch party of Kosmic Apollo 2015.

This Saturday November 29th, there will be an installation in the club to give a taste of how inventive and original Kosmic Appolo will be this year. Intergalactic warrior Ken L Jones will once again provide the soundtrack to this epic event.

Shameless happens at Babylon on the last Friday of every month. This is one of our busiest nights of the month, with people waiting in line sometimes way before we open. When the doors open, groups of peeps roll onto the dance floor right away and start partying to the jams and beats put down by the unstoppable DJ duo of Matty and Skid Vicious.

There is no buildup to the party. It’s on from the get go. There is no hiding it. This one is all about guilt-free, cheesy-shit dance floor pleasures. Come down and have the time of your life this Friday November 28th. Dance like no one is watching, cause no one is watching; they’re having way too much fun for that.

Thursday, November 27th is a special edition of FRENZY, featuring an absolute trailblazer of today’s music world. A very monumental show for us, as several years ago our FRENZY anniversary was the 2nd out of town show Kaytranada played… and now this show is most likely going to be one of the last intimate settings to catch him in – as skyrocketing career has his future tours hitting far larger venues/halls/arenas.

The local party scene just got a big jolt coming at the hands of the newly-formed Decoded Lifestyle brand. Decoded will start by bringing a greater variety of Bass shows to Ottawa and expand from there. The aim will be to raise the bar on what has come to be expected of parties and enhance the overall experience of those who attend. This fresh outlook will catch people by surprise and Decoded will be the springboard for the next wave of party promoters to grow the scene.

Decoded Lifestyle and Dreammind get things kicked off with their inaugural show with Stickybuds on Tuesday November 25th. Big tings

The Queer Mafia holds it down on the third Saturday of every month. This month, on Saturday, November 22nd, they’re in collaboration with the Ottawa Wolves Rugby Club to bring one sweaty fun-filled dance party. The vibe is all about getting there early, and dancing till late. Busted Limb (aka Jeffrey Fennell) will be bringing a video install to stimulate the senses and take you that much higher. It is our pleasure to host the awesome dj duo of Dan Valin and Kitty Funk for this jam. Queer Mafia for the win.

The third Friday of every month, come dance the night away to all the best 1990’s hip hop and RnB. DJS PAT JOHNSON & PALM D’OR keep the party bouncin all night long. A little DESTINY’S CHILD, MARIAH, JAYZ and soooooooooo many more, giddy up.

In the November edition, on Friday the 21st, will be giving out FREE ADMISSION cards for our huge Christmas party in December along with other fun stuff. We will also be celebrating @kristen bromiley’s birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY beauty!!! Come ready to have all the fun, aiight, all that, as if, get jiggy playa………..90’s or Bust.

We just threw a little customer appreciation this past weekend; here are the photos; Zachary Pantalone captured the essence of the night with his amazing photos.  See you every Sunday on the dancefloor.  Stay tuned for another awesome giveaway starting this Sunday, hint; its tickets to an awesome party coming to Toronto at the end of the month.
