From the (party) animals that bring you SHAMELESS comes NIGHT MOVES! NIGHT MOVES happens the first Saturday of every month. Come dance to the sounds of the (new) new new wave with PAT JOHNSON (Silkken Laumann) as well as guest dj GARY FRANKS (Ceremony/Roberta Bondar) who will be spinning tons of catchy indie/new wave/electro-clash/rock n’ roll that will get you out on the dance floor!

3 YEARS STRONG.

Friday, February 1st is FRENZY’s 3rd Birthday. With special 2 vs 2 sets featuring Kaytranada & High Klassified vs. Illo & Iggy Smalls.

SOLIDARITY

On Saturday, January 19th The Souljazz Orchestra plays their first hometown gig after months of touring worldwide for the release of their new album “Solidarity”. With the legendary DJ Zattar on the decks, spinnin’ the rare tropical madness, this one’s gonna be off the chain. See you there!

LAST MINUTE STYLES

Herd Magazine is having their 2nd Issue Party at Falldown Gallery tonight. In fact, the doors opened about 6 minutes ago (8pm). The after party will be held by yours truly, while Visions is in full effect. Centretown is where it’s at this Friday night!
And every other night, actually.

AND IT’S ON

Hosted by Atherton and DJ So Nice every third Thursday of the month, this karaoke jam snatches karaoke out of the lounge and drops it right into the nightclub.

AFTERPARTAYS

Our buds, Antique Skate, are having an Art Show/Video Release Party on Saturday, January 19th. It will feature the art of Ben Jensen, and a new Dime Video entitled ‘Turd Season’. Once they run out of beer, the party will move to Babylon. That also falls on the same night as The Souljazz Orchestra show! We look forward to holding after parties for Antique’s monthly events. This could be the beginning of a sloppy (or sloppier) friendship.

TRAP HEAT

Last month at Babylon, Oh My Jam hosted an amazing event with guests First Nations A Tribe Called Red. These guys really know how to rock the house. Track (Trap Heat) composed by A Tribe Called Red. Stay tuned for more Oh My Jam promo clips in the new year. Event coordinated by Busted Limb and The Queer Mafia.

OTTAWA EXPLOSION PRESENTS:

The Creeps are one of Ottawa’s greatest and longest running bands. Who knew songs about killing could be so catchy? They’ll be playing tonight with Outtacontroller.
Followed by NIGHT MOVES dance party, with Skid Vicious & Pat Johnson spinning indie & new wave dance jams.
