The Souljazz Orchestra’s new album “Solidarity” comes out in stores this coming Monday, September 17th, and the band will be having a massive release party at Babylon, on Saturday September 22nd. So what are people saying about “Solidarity”? Well, National Geographic in Washington DC called it “beyond badass”. The Paris DJs collective in France described it as “ridiculously exceptional”. Jeune Afrique, one of the most widely read magazines in francophone Africa, declared it “an essential album”. Heavyweight DJs like Laurent Garnier and the BBC’s Gilles Peterson have already started spinning it regularly, and the album has been getting airplay as far off as Mali, Brazil and Greece.
